What a start to the year we’ve had at Broken Icon Comics. Lexington Comic Toy and Convention, Gem City Comic Con and Tri-State Comic Con (Tricon) have provided us with amazing outlets for our titles, new and old. We’ve sold over 300 titles in just these three shows and it gives me so much joy going into the rest of the convention season.

Tricon is a special show because not only do I have an ownership stake in it, but it also is the largest Broken Icon gathering of the year. We have talent from all over the country travel to Huntington, West Virginia to show off the newest titles that BIC has to offer our fans.
We were excited to have four of the five original BIC members at the show. Aside from James and myself, Broken Icon’s Art Director, Rob Dumo., and veteran creator Nicholas “Iowa” Wentland were in attendance showing off their newest titles. The Horror Show artist, Todd Beistel was with us showing off the latest and final issue of that acclaimed series. Newcomers Landon Franklin (Traitor’s Grace, Dysphoria), Jodie Springer (Dysphoria), Thomas Clough (Traitor’s Grace) and cover artist Effy Lonas (Dysphoria) made their Tricon debuts as well.
We sold out of Traitor’s Grace while The Horror Show 3, Alone!, Vlad Tepes, Rigel Raine, G-Raver and Dysphoria have only a couple copies left. With only a few shows down and more to do, its so rewarding that our books are being so well received this early into the season. It makes all the hard work our creative teams put into these titles worth it.
We have more shows coming up and I plan on adding more as well to get all these great titles in peoples hands. Keep checking back and as always thanks for the support.
