This past weekend I had the joy of speaking to a Girl Scouts Troop in Proctorville, Ohio. Along with two Broken Icon staff members, KJ Mendenhall and Jodie Springer, we spoke about comics, Jodie spoke about women in comics and how to pursue your dreams.
The girls were amazing. They asked questions. Showed us their knowledge of comics. Shared some of their art and comics with us. In the end they gifted us with some cards and probably the coolest thing I’ve ever received, a comic making badge.
It was a blast and a nice break from this early convention schedule.
